지친 이에게 힘

이사야 40:26-31

이사야 40:26 Look up at the sky! Who created all these heavenly lights? He is the one who leads out their ranks; he calls them all by name. Because of his absolute power and awesome strength, not one of them is missing.

이사야 40:27 Why do you say, Jacob, Why do you say, Israel, “The LORD is not aware of what is happening to me, My God is not concerned with my vindication”?

이사야 40:28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is an eternal God, the Creator of the whole earth. He does not get tired or weary; there is no limit to his wisdom.

이사야 40:29 He gives strength to those who are tired; to the ones who lack power, he gives renewed energy.

이사야 40:30 Even youths get tired and weary; even strong young men clumsily stumble.

이사야 40:31 But those who wait for the LORD’s help find renewed strength; they rise up as if they had eagles’ wings, they run without growing weary, they walk without getting tired.

해설

이사야는 하늘의 별들을 바라보며 그 모든 것을 지으신 하나님을 생각하게 합니다.

하나님은 별들을 하나하나 부르시는 능력 있는 창조주로 소개됩니다.

그런데 지친 사람은 자신의 사정이 하나님께 잊힌 것처럼 느낄 수 있습니다.

이 말씀은 하나님이 피곤해지지 않으시며 우리의 이해를 넘어 지혜롭게 일하시는 분임을 알려 줍니다.

그분은 피곤한 사람에게 힘을 주시고 기운이 없는 사람을 도우십니다.

젊고 강한 사람도 넘어지지만, 하나님을 기다리는 사람은 그분에게서 새 힘을 얻습니다.

독수리처럼 날아오른다는 표현은 지친 삶에서도 하나님을 의지하며 다시 걸어갈 소망을 전합니다.
